Honda DN-01

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

The Honda DN-01 is a cruiser motorcycle that Honda made from 2008 to 2010. It was introduced at the 2005 Tokyo Motor Show, went on sale in Japan and Europe in 2008 and in the United States in 2009, and was discontinued at the end of 2010. It was one of a small number of motorcycles offered by a major manufacturer with an automatic transmission, a continuously variable transmission. The 2009 model, measured by Motorcycle Consumer News, did 0 to 60 mph in 7.41 seconds and the quarter mile in 15.41 seconds at 87.42 mph, with a top speed of 113.1 mph and a 60 to 0 mph braking distance of 124 feet using front dual-disc brakes with ABS. Reviewers complained about ergonomics, uncomfortable seating on long rides, lack of wind protection and storage, and a price of 14,599 dollars that was much higher than any comparable machine.
