The Honda CMX250, also called the Rebel 250, is a 234 cc cruiser-style motorcycle that Honda has made on and off since 1985, using the same straight-twin engine as the Nighthawk 250 standard. The Rebel is part of the CM series of cruisers and is widely used in the Motorcycle Safety Foundation's rider-training courses. Its 1996 model had the best fuel economy of 352 past and current models tested in the 2010 Motorcycle Consumer News index, at 62.6 miles per US gallon. It has a single front disc and a rear drum brake, a speedometer with gear recommendations as its only gauge, a five-speed gearbox, a maximum speed of 70 mph and a wet weight of 320 pounds.
