The Honda CB900C is a cruiser motorcycle that Honda produced from 1980 to 1982, primarily for the American market, and it was succeeded by the CB1000C in 1983. It had front and rear air-assisted suspension, shaft drive and a dual-range sub-transmission, was derived from the DOHC CB750K, and is closely related to the CB900F and the 1983-only CB1100F. The air- and oil-cooled DOHC 902 cc engine has four 32 mm Keihin CV carburettors and electronic ignition, with two front discs and a single rear disc. It is something of a parts-bin bike, taking its final drive and rear suspension from the GL and CX touring models and its frame from the European CB900F, lengthened by 2 inches, and the sub-transmission jack shaft gives an overdrive sixth speed for cruising.
