BMW S1000XR

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

The BMW S1000XR is a sport touring motorcycle that BMW Motorrad has produced since 2015, officially designated S 1000 XR, and presented on 4 November 2014 at EICMA in Milan. The partially faired all-rounder is technically based on the S1000R naked bike and is marketed by BMW as an Adventure Sport Bike. After the fully enclosed S1000RR and HP4 sport bikes and the S1000R roadster, the XR is the fourth variant with the inline four-cylinder engine, and it is assembled at the BMW plant in Berlin; production started on 1 April 2015 and it went on sale on 13 June. The first generation of 2015 to 2019 has a 999 cc inline-four engine derived from the S1000R and S1000RR, with 160 hp and a top speed of around 170 mph, and the second generation arrived in 2020 with an updated Euro 5 engine.
