The BMW R1250RS is a sport touring motorcycle (Reise Sport) produced by BMW Motorrad and unveiled at EICMA in November 2018. Like the other R-series versions, the R1250RT, the R1250R roadster and the R1250GS, it is powered by a boxer engine, an air- and water-cooled two-cylinder unit of 1,254 cc producing a nominal 136 horsepower (101 kW) at 7,750 rpm and 143 Nm at 6,250 rpm. A sliding camshaft adjusts the timing for the lower, middle and upper speed ranges and changes the intake valve lift, a regulated three-way catalytic converter treats the exhaust and the engine meets the Euro 5 standard. WMTC consumption is given as 4.75 L/100 km. The frame has a main frame and a bolted rear frame with the engine as a load-bearing element, an upside-down fork at the front and a cast aluminium single-sided swingarm at the rear, with Dynamic Traction Control and selectable driving modes.
