The BMW K1600GT, K1600GTL, K1600 Grand America and K1600B are touring motorcycles manufactured by BMW Motorrad. The first two were announced in July 2010, unveiled at the Intermot show in Cologne in October 2010 and put on sale in March 2011, and the K1600B was announced in October 2016. The K1600GTL is a full dress luxury tourer that replaced the K1200LT and was meant to compete with the Honda Gold Wing, the K1600GT is more of a sport tourer, the K1600B is a bagger designed primarily for North America, and the K1600 Grand America, launched in 2018, is another fully dressed tourer sold mainly in North America. They use a new 1,649 cc straight-six engine mounted transversely with the cylinders angled forward 55 degrees, which BMW claims is the narrowest in-line six ever produced at 560 mm wide, first seen on the Concept 6 shown at EICMA Milan in 2009.
