BMW K 1200 LT

The BMW K 1200 LT, the L standing for luxury tourer, is a touring motorcycle from BMW that was available from 1998 to 2009. It was first offered at 34,400 marks and replaced the K 1100 LT. As a super-tourer it was positioned as a competitor to, among others, the Honda Gold Wing. Even the first version came richly equipped from the Berlin-Spandau factory, with standard cruise control, a starter-activated reversing aid, an on-board computer, a radio and cassette combination and an electrically adjustable windscreen. Unlike its predecessor it had a luggage system that could not be removed, with a top case and two side cases holding about 120 litres.
