The Bell 212 is an American twin engine utility helicopter built by Bell as a twin turbine development of the earlier single engine Bell 205. The extra engine gave operators added safety margin over open water and remote terrain, and the type has been used widely for military transport, offshore oil support and general civilian utility work since the early 1970s.
