Sikorsky S-434

Lighter-Than-Air Craft and Rotorcraft

The Sikorsky S-434 is a light, turbine-powered helicopter, an improved development of the Schweizer S333 that carries features developed for the MQ-8 Fire Scout and shares the S-333 cockpit layout, which gives the crew very good visibility and handling. The prototype first flew on 18 December 2008 at Horseheads, New York. On 15 June 2009 Sikorsky announced delivery of the first two S-434s to the Saudi Arabian Ministry of the Interior, the first of a total of nine.
