The Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk is an American medium lift utility helicopter that entered United States Army service in 1979 as the replacement for the Vietnam era UH-1 Huey. It became the standard tactical transport helicopter of the United States military, used for troop movement, medical evacuation and special operations, and has been exported widely and built in numerous variants.
