The Sikorsky S-61 Sea King is an American twin turbine helicopter built by Sikorsky from the early 1960s, developed for the United States Navy for anti-submarine warfare and search and rescue. Its boat shaped, amphibious hull lets it land directly on water, and beyond military service the type has also been widely used for civilian and VIP transport, including for many years as the helicopter that carries the President of the United States.
