The Bell 206 JetRanger is an American light utility helicopter built by Bell Helicopter, developed from a design Bell originally submitted to a United States Army light observation helicopter competition before being adapted and marketed commercially from the late 1960s onward. Widely adopted for civilian roles including corporate and executive transport, police patrol, electronic news gathering and sightseeing tours, it became one of the most widely produced and internationally recognized light helicopters in aviation history, remaining in active civil use across many countries decades after its introduction.
