The Nissan EM is a brand of electric motors made by Nissan. The first, the EM61, debuted in 2010 as part of the first-generation Nissan Leaf, where it produced 280 Nm of peak torque at up to 10,390 rpm. The EM57 followed with the 2013 Leaf refresh, with a smaller footprint that saves 11.7 kg in the inverter and motor package, peaking at 250 Nm and 10,500 rpm, and it was updated in 2018 for the ZE1 Leaf with power raised to 110 kW and, on the e+ model, 160 kW. The EM47 arrived in 2020 with the refreshed Note and is used only in Nissan's e-POWER hybrids, paired with a smaller, lighter inverter. The article says the series has since served in various hybrid and all-electric Nissan vehicles.
