The Cessna 182 Skylane is an American four seat, single engine light airplane built by the Cessna Aircraft Company of Wichita, Kansas, first flown in September 1955 and introduced the following year. It has remained in continuous production since its debut, with more than 23,000 built, making it the second most popular Cessna model after the smaller 172, and it has also been offered in a retractable landing gear variant.
