The Taylorcraft BC-12D is a light, single engine, high wing monoplane with side by side seating for two, built by the Taylorcraft Aviation Corporation of Alliance, Ohio as the postwar production version of the Model B line the company had introduced as the BC in 1938. Constructed with a welded steel tube fuselage covered in doped fabric and available on wheels or floats, it was built in large numbers alongside its prewar Taylorcraft B relatives, and many examples remain in active flying condition today.
