The Luscombe 8 Silvaire is an American two seat light aircraft built by Luscombe beginning in the late 1930s. It was notable at the time as a low cost all metal alternative to the fabric and wood construction common among light aircraft of the era, and it remained popular for private ownership and flight training both before and after the Second World War.
