The Cirrus SR20 is an American piston engine, four to five seat composite monoplane built by Cirrus Aircraft of Duluth, Minnesota, and the company's first design to earn type certification, in 1998, with deliveries following from 1999. It introduced buyers to a modern all composite airframe paired with a whole airframe emergency parachute system, features that helped Cirrus grow into one of the best selling general aviation manufacturers of the following decades.
