The Cessna 206 Stationair is an American single-engine light utility aircraft built by Cessna Aircraft, introduced in 1964 as a larger, more powerful development of the company's Cessna 210 airframe, built with fixed rather than retractable landing gear for greater ruggedness and lower maintenance in utility operations. Built with a large rear cargo door and a six-seat cabin that can be reconfigured for cargo, the Stationair has been widely used for bush flying, skydiving operations and utility transport in remote regions with unimproved airstrips, valued for its useful load capacity relative to its size.
