Military Transport Flying Boats

Large flying boats built to carry troops and cargo for an air force or navy over long distances of open water, rather than to patrol for submarines or carry fare paying passengers. An entry belongs here when the cited article calls the aircraft a military transport flying boat or a naval long range transport seaplane. It excludes commercial flying boats and clippers, patrol and bomber flying boats, amphibious aircraft and early flying boats. Entries are placed by what their own cited article says, so each one sits in the narrowest group its source supports, and the group page lists it beside the other members.
