Ettore Maserati, born in Voghera in 1894 and died on 4 August 1990, was an Italian automotive engineer and one of the five brothers who founded the Maserati firm in Bologna in 1914. His oldest brother Carlo brought him to the Junior car manufacturer in 1908, and after Carlo died his brother Bindo brought him and Alfieri to work for Isotta Fraschini, which led to representation tours abroad in the years before World War I. He also held an intermediate position as a leading engine engineer with Franco Tosi meccanica. After Adolfo Orsi bought the Maserati company in 1937, Ettore and his brothers moved with it to Modena in 1940, and in 1947 they founded the O.S.C.A.-Maserati company in Bologna. He retired in 1966.
