Alexander Nikolayevich Prokofiev de Seversky (1894 to 1974) was a Russian-American aviation pioneer, inventor and influential advocate of strategic air power. He was also a World War I flying ace. For transport he belongs among the figures who shaped early aviation, both as an inventor and as a public voice for what aircraft could do. The source lead is a single sentence on who he was and does not detail his aircraft, companies or writings, so this entry keeps to that and adds no further specifics; a depth lane can extend it from a fuller reading later.
