The Wartsila-Sulzer RTA96-C is a very large two stroke, low speed marine diesel engine developed for propelling large container ships, produced from the late 1990s. Its largest fourteen cylinder version is among the most powerful reciprocating internal combustion engines ever built, generating tens of thousands of kilowatts to drive the propellers of some of the largest cargo vessels afloat.
