The Pratt & Whitney R-1830 Twin Wasp is an American air cooled radial aircraft engine with 14 cylinders arranged in two rings of seven, developed from 1929 experiments at Pratt & Whitney and entering production in 1932. It powered two of the most widely produced aircraft in aviation history, the Consolidated B-24 Liberator heavy bomber and the Douglas DC-3 transport, and with 173,618 units built it remains the most produced aviation engine in history.
