Ship Canals

Artificial waterways that cut across land to join seas or lakes, shortening voyages for ocean-going ships. An entry belongs here when the cited article calls the waterway an artificial sea-level waterway, ship canal or seaway. It excludes inland and historic canals. Entries are placed by what their own cited article says, so each one sits in the narrowest group its source supports, and the group page lists it beside the other members.
