UD SLF

Buses and Road Mass Transit Vehicles

The UD SLF is a rear-engined, single-decker, semi-low-floor city bus made by UD Trucks, named for semi low-floor. It belongs to the UD Buses project that the Volvo Group introduced in 2014 for India first and other Asian countries later, and the articulated UD BRT is its companion. The bus is 12 metres long with 36 seats and Denso air conditioning, and it is driven by the GH8 six cylinder eight litre Euro IV turbo diesel with a ZF six speed automatic, giving 230 horsepower. The prototype body was built by Volvo Buses India and the production body by the Volvo and SM Kannappa joint venture plant. A prototype began running with the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation in 2015.
