The Mercedes-Benz O405N2, properly written O405N squared, is a low-floor city bus produced by Mercedes-Benz from 1993 to 2001. It succeeds the O405N, which the Polish Wikipedia dates 1990 to 1996, and differs from it mainly in larger side windows and richer equipment, often door-closing photocells and air conditioning. A natural-gas version, the O405N2 CNG, was also built. Production ran until 2001 at the Mannheim plant, which later belonged to EvoBus, the bus division of the group, and the Citaro is its successor. The same article notes that PKT Gdynia converts used O405N buses to electric drive in its own workshops.
