The Mercedes-Benz O303 was an integral coach built by Mercedes-Benz between 1974 and 1992. It was also sold as a chassis, where the customer could take the lower part of the front, or the whole front including the windscreen, from the integral model shipped with the chassis. It was launched in 1974 at the Paris Motor Show as the replacement for the O302, and in 1985 it became the first bus to offer anti-lock braking. More than 35,000 were built and sold over eighteen years, making it the most produced coach in the world at the time. The O404 superseded it in 1991, although licensed copies were assembled from kits by the Russian manufacturer Avtrokon near Moscow from 1993 onwards.
