Mercedes-Benz O 403

The Mercedes-Benz O403 is a long-distance coach of Mercedes-Benz that passed on to the Travego the baton it had taken over from the O304. One of the plants that built it throughout its life was the Hoşdere Bus Factory, opened in 1995. It came in two models, the taller SHD and the RHD; except for the 2005 models the SHD used V8 engines (OM402LA and OM442LA, 381 hp) and the RHD a V6 (OM441LA), while the 2005 models have an inline six-cylinder OM457LA of 422 hp, 40 hp more than the old V8. The article lists a length of 11,980 mm, a width of 2,500 mm, a height of 3,900 mm for the SHD, a six-speed gearbox and an electronic retarder.
