The Isuzu LV434 is a large touring bus chassis that Isuzu makes for export only; it is not sold in Japan. Only the chassis leaves Japan, and the body is fitted by a coachbuilder in the country of sale. The LV434 arrived in 2007 as the successor to the LV423R, and it uses the 6HK1 engine of the domestic Erga with a common-rail injection system, a diesel particulate device and cooled exhaust gas recirculation to meet Euro 4 rules. It belongs to a family of export LV chassis that includes the LV123, a leaf-sprung version of the LV423, and the LV423R with the 6SD1 engine and Euro 3 compliance, which in Thailand carries locally built city bus bodies for the Bangkok Mass Transit Authority.
