The AEC 661T was a two-axle double-deck trolleybus chassis built by the Associated Equipment Company between 1931 and 1942. It took the design of the AEC Regent motor bus chassis and adapted it for electric traction, and more than 380 were built for operators in the United Kingdom and overseas. Early bodies resembled those of the Regent motor bus, with a half cab and a dummy radiator, while a full-fronted body was used from 1934. The first four went to Southend Corporation, and orders followed from many other municipal trolleybus operators. Several have been preserved, including former Portsmouth, Cleethorpes and Reading vehicles, two of them kept at the Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft.
