The Daimler CVG6 was a British front-engined double-decker bus built by Daimler, the six-cylinder successor to the CVG5. Its name abbreviates Commercial Victory Gardner 6-cylinder, and it kept the half-cab layout and Wilson pre-selector gearbox while moving to a Gardner 6LW six-cylinder engine and a length of 30 feet instead of 27. Later buses took the more powerful Gardner 6LX engine and a semi-automatic gearbox, and a 34-foot CVG6LX-34 chassis was developed for overseas buyers. Rear-engined designs cut its sales, and Daimler turned to its own rear-engined Fleetline, and the last CVG6 left the factory on 23 December 1971, delivered to Kowloon Motor Bus in Hong Kong, which had bought 405 of them between 1962 and 1972.
