The Mercedes-Benz OH 1419 was the first bus chassis of the OH series, Omnibus Heckmotor in German or bus with rear engine, made in Argentina at the start of the 1980s, before the range itself debuted in 1987; the article calls it a true isolated precursor. It was fitted with the five-cylinder OM 355/5 engine that the L 1521 truck also used, but without the intercooler: a four-stroke direct-injection diesel of 9,650 cubic centimetres rated 192 CV at 2,200 rpm. It had an interesting commercial life, used mainly for medium and long distance. The article lists an empty weight of 14,900 kg, a length of 11,025 mm and a wheelbase of 6,050 mm.
