Mercedes-Benz OF 1215

Buses and Road Mass Transit Vehicles

The Mercedes-Benz OF 1215 is a front-engine bus that hardly resembles the almost eternal OF 1214 and has few similarities and many mechanical differences with it. It arrived late, when passenger transport companies openly preferred the rear-engine OH series, Omnibus Heckmotor, to front-engine drive. It was still available for some years, preferably in the interior of the country on rough routes, and had no replacement. The Spanish Wikipedia article lists a four-stroke direct-injection diesel of 5,958 cubic centimetres and six cylinders rated 150 HP at 2,800 rpm, a five-speed gearbox, drum brakes with air operation and a maximum permitted weight of 12,000 kg.
