Bristol C45

Buses and Road Mass Transit Vehicles

The Bristol C45 was one of the early C-series chassis of the Bristol Tramways and Carriage Company, named before the lower frame of 1920 brought chassis that were known simply by the capacity of the body, as the English Wikipedia article on Bristol Commercial Vehicles explains. The Bristol CV Buses website covers the C45 on one page with the C40, C50, C60 and C65, a group built between 1908 and 1924 with bus bodies from B16F to B29R, coach bodies and a Bristol AW 30 hp four cylinder petrol engine. It counts 127 chassis in all, 107 for Bristol Tramways, nine for the War Department and one for Imperial, and gives no separate count or date for the C45 itself.
