The Albion Valkyrie CX was a bus chassis built by Albion Motors of Scotstoun, Glasgow, from 1937 to 1950, the CX generation of the Valkyrie. The original Valkyrie of 1930 to 1938 was a forward-control chassis with a 5 litre engine, enlarged to 6.1 litres from 1933 and with a 7.8 litre option from 1935, and it was mainly sold as a coach. The CX version of the chassis, launched in 1937 across the Albion bus range, had the engine and gearbox mounted together as one in-unit assembly instead of being linked by a separate drive shaft. Albion's own range of diesel engines was also made available, and the model list gives the Valkyrie CX as built until 1950.
