The AEC Regal VI was an underfloor-engined single-decker bus chassis built by AEC from 1962 to 1979. Unveiled at the 1960 Commercial Motor Show, it was intended as a purely export chassis and updated the Regal IV by swapping its 9.6-litre engine for an 11.3-litre AH690. It came in left- and right-hand drive, with power steering and air suspension as options. Large orders came from Montevideo in Uruguay and Buenos Aires in Argentina, and Australian operators in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth also bought it. In South Africa AEC built its own front-engined variant, the Kudu, assembled at its Durban factory.
