Heritage Designation

This dimension groups transport infrastructure by whether it holds a formal heritage listing. In the United States, for example, the National Register of Historic Places is "the United States federal government's official list of sites, buildings, structures, districts, and objects deemed worthy of preservation for their historical significance," per Wikipedia.
