The Nissan YD is a 2.2 and 2.5 L inline-four diesel engine with a cast iron block and an aluminium head with chain driven twin overhead camshafts. It shares much of its architecture with the QR petrol engine. Nissan fitted it to the D22 pickup sold as the Navara, Kingcab and Frontier, the D40 Navara from 2006 to 2014, the Pathfinder R51 from 2005 to 2012, the Murano from 2011 to 2014 and the NP300 Navara D23 from 2015, and the article also lists it in a 2026 Mitsubishi Versa Van.
