The Nissan VK is a V8 piston engine from Nissan with an aluminium double overhead camshaft, four valve per cylinder design. It was originally based on Nissan's VQ V6 rather than on the VH V8 used in earlier Q45 and Cima models. Changes from the VQ include a variable intake manifold that sends air through different paths at different engine speeds to favour low end torque or high end power, newly designed heads and a larger drive by wire throttle chamber. The English Wikipedia article is brief and does not state the years of production or the displacements in its text.
