The Nissan QG is a family of straight-four piston engines of 1.3, 1.5, 1.6 and 1.8 L. It is a lean-burn aluminium double overhead camshaft, four valve design with variable valve timing and optional NEO Di direct injection. The engines were designed by Nissan's Aichi Kikai division in Japan, and Nissan websites say the QG name stands for Quality and Green. It powered the Sunny B15, the AD van and the Wingroad, was fitted to low-end Sentra N16 models in the Philippines, and also went into the Samsung SM3.
