The Nissan CR is a 1.0, 1.2 or 1.4 L straight-four piston engine from Nissan's Aichi Kikai division in Japan, an aluminium double overhead camshaft 16-valve design, with variable valve timing on the inlet camshaft of the CR14DE. It was first used in the Nissan K12 Micra, called the March in Japan, in March 2002, then in the Z11 Cube in October 2002 in Japan and in the European E11 Note in March 2006. It replaced the similar CG engine, and in 2013 Nissan discontinued the CR and replaced it with the HR engine family.
