The Mitsubishi 6B3 is a range of all-alloy piston V6 engines developed by Mitsubishi Motors, of which only one has been built, the 3.0 litre 6B31. It was first introduced in the North American version of the second generation Outlander, which debuted in October 2006. All engines in the family have an aluminium cylinder block and head with iron cylinder liners, four valves per cylinder and MIVEC variable valve timing. The 6B31 is a 60 degree SOHC 24-valve V6 with a two-stage variable intake manifold. Power was 220 PS at first and rose to 230 PS from 2010, when the compression ratio went from 9.5 to 10.5:1. It was used in the Outlander from 2007 to 2020 and in the Pajero Sport from 2012 to 2021.
