Mitsubishi 4G6 engine

Automotive Engines

The Mitsubishi Sirius, covering the 4G6 gasoline and 4D6 diesel codes, is one of four series of inline-four automobile engines from Mitsubishi Motors, along with the Astron, Orion and Saturn. The 4G6 gasoline engines were Mitsubishi's favoured performance variant: the 4G61T powered the Colt Turbo, and the 4G63T, first introduced in the 1980 Lancer EX 2000 Turbo, became famous under the hood of the World Rally Championship winning Lancer Evolution. A UK market Evo known as the FQ400 had a 400 bhp version, making it the most powerful car Mitsubishi had sold. The 4D6 diesels supplemented the larger 4D5, and since the 2010s updated versions with variable valve timing have been built in China as the 4K series.
