Honda G engine

Automotive Engines

The Honda G series is a family of slanted inline-five cylinder gasoline engines with a single overhead camshaft and four valves per cylinder. Displacement ran from 2.0 litres to 2.5 litres. It was first used in 1989 in the Honda Vigor, Rafaga, Ascot and Inspire, and was then carried into the Vigor's successor, the Acura TL, which used G-series engines in North America from 1995 to 1998. The Japanese Honda Saber kept it until 1998 as well. The G20A, G25A, G25A1 and G25A4 variants differ in bore, stroke, compression ratio and power, and the 2.5 litre G25A reaches 190 PS in its Japanese form.
