The Honda B20A engine series, which includes the B20A and B21A, was an inline four-cylinder engine family that Honda introduced in 1985 in the second-generation Honda Prelude. It was also offered in the contemporary third-generation Accord in the Japanese domestic market and in the Accord-derived Vigor. It was Honda's second line of multivalve DOHC inline-four engines, after the ZC twin-cam variant of the ordinarily SOHC D series, was aimed at performance and displaced 2.0 to 2.1 litres. The third-generation Prelude was powered exclusively by the B20A family, and production ended with that Prelude in 1991. The later B engine family succeeded it, although the two differ substantially in architecture, and the B20A should not be confused with the B20B introduced alongside the CR-V in 1994.
