The Mugen Honda MF301H is the first of a series of three-litre V10 Formula One engines that Mugen, now M-TEC, developed jointly with Honda's research and development company and supplied to Formula One teams from 1995 to 2000. Mugen had supplied the 3.5 litre MF351H series since 1992, and when the regulations cut the engine capacity limit to three litres from 1995 the new series was built to match. Six types were supplied in all, from the MF301H of 1995 to the MF301HE of 2000. The first engine had a stated output of 680 bhp and a weight of 137 kg, and by the final MF301HE of 2000 the stated figures had risen to 773 bhp and 121 kg, although Jordan's Gary Anderson said that at the start of 1998 the bench test staff told him their engine was producing only 688 bhp. A Formula One fan site lists the MF301H as the engine of the 1995 Ligier JS41.
