The Honda RA621H is the 1.6 litre V6 turbocharged hybrid power unit that Honda F1 and Honda Racing developed and built for the 2021 Formula 1 World Championship. Its overall project leader was Yasuaki Asai of Honda R&D, also known as the development leader of the N-BOX, with Toyoharu Tanabe as technical director. Unlike earlier Honda Formula 1 engines, whose structure was cast aluminium, its new structure is machined from a solid block of high-strength aluminium alloy. The power unit has a minimum weight of 150 kilograms and combines the internal combustion engine with an MGU-K, an MGU-H, an energy store, a turbocharger and control electronics. The engine has a 90 degree bank, 24 valves and a 15,000 rpm limit. It powered the Red Bull RB16B, with which Max Verstappen won the drivers' title, and the AlphaTauri AT02.
