Automotive Engines

The Honda Indy V6, officially designated the HI12TT/R, is a 2.2-liter, twin-turbocharged V6 racing engine developed and produced by Honda Racing Corporation USA and used in the IndyCar Series since 2012. Its Wikipedia specification lists an output of 550 to 735 horsepower depending on the turbo boost pressure used at the track, a limit of 12,000 revolutions per minute with 12,200 allowed for overtaking, a weight of about 112 to 113 kilograms, dry-sump lubrication, double overhead camshafts with four titanium valves per cylinder and direct fuel injection. The engine drives a sequential paddle-shift gearbox, and the one application the article names is the Dallara DW12 chassis.
