The Audi RC8 2.0 TFSI is a prototype four-stroke, 2.0-litre, single-turbocharged inline-four petrol racing engine developed and produced by Audi Sport for the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters. It is custom built but partly borrows its cylinder blocks from the road-going Volkswagen-Audi EA888 2.0 TFSI engine of the same displacement. It was first shaken down on 15 November 2018 and unveiled publicly on 20 March 2019 after further dynamometer testing. As the first turbocharged DTM engine, it replaced the Audi DTM V8, which had served for nineteen years, under the Class 1 regulations shared with Japanese Super GT, and it adds a push-to-pass boost of 30 hp, later 60 hp. It is fitted to the Audi RS5 Turbo DTM and, as a generator, to the Audi RS Q e-tron.
