The Winton Motor Carriage is an automobile built by the Winton Motor Carriage Company, founded by Scottish born engineer Alexander Winton in Cleveland, Ohio in 1897. Winton's cars were among the first gasoline automobiles sold commercially in the United States, and the company's early success, including a widely publicized cross country drive, helped establish Cleveland as an early center of the American automobile industry.
